Blue Buckaroo Health Guarantee & Purchase Agreement
Our Health Guarantee and Other Information
Health Guarantee
We will provide you with a beautiful, healthy puppy in good physical and mental condition and free from disease at the time of purchase. Our puppies will have all their vaccines and worming completed for their ages. You agree to have the puppy examined by your own veterinarian within 3 working days (72 hours) following possession of puppy (Be sure to keep puppy off of the floor at the veterinarian – please carry your puppy so to not expose them to potential viruses). If any sign of illness is found (other than worms, diarrhea from change in diet, change of environment or travel stress, etc.), you must contact us immediately. You may elect to keep the puppy and assume all costs for its care, or return the puppy for a full refund upon our receipt of the veterinarian’s statement* regarding the puppy’s health. You are responsible for any and all vet/medical bills.
1 YEAR Puppy HEALTH GUARANTEE
We guarantee that your puppy will be free from any “gene<c defects” for the first twelve months from the date of birth. If, however, within the first twelve months, a licensed veterinarian finds that your puppy has developed any serious eye defects, hip dysplasia, or any inheritable congenital gene<c defect which would prevent it from enjoying a reasonable and normal life, we will replace the puppy with a comparable puppy from our next available litter. No money will be refunded. Any claim of a defect must be accompanied with written proof* from a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of testing. This health guarantee does not include parasites - ticks (and tick born diseases), worms, coccida, giardia etc. Please keep your puppy in fit weight and condition. Do not allow your pup to become overweight as this places undue stress on the pup's joints. An overweight condition or evidence of joint wear due to long distance running before growth plates close will void the guarantee in this contract regarding hip dysplasia. Please be advised that you should not engage your puppy in high jumping or agility exercises until he is over one year of age. Puppy bones need time to grow and become strong enough for these activities.
OPTIONAL 1 Year Health Guarantee EXTENSION
Due to the varying kinds of food and different environmental conditions the puppies come in contact with; and the fact that all puppies have immune systems that take time to mature, we highly recommend feeding TLC Whole Life Dog Food and supplementing with NuVet Plus immune system builder to help them maintain optimal health. We are so confident TLC Whole Life Dog Food and NuVet Plus will benefit your new puppy; we will extend this guarantee by 1 year. To qualify for this guarantee extension you must give your new puppy NuVet Plus, using the manufacturer’s recommended daily dosage, for the en=re guarantee period. Failure to do so makes this guarantee extension null and void.”
SOCIALIZATION
You agree to properly socialize and expose your puppy to various situations as to develop a sound temperament. The first two years are especially important. It is strongly recommended that your puppy
attend obedience school and/or puppy kindergarten. It is important that the puppy learns who the leader is and how to socialize with other puppies/dogs as well as people.
SPAY / NEUTER
This puppy is being sold as a “Pet/Companion”, the Buyer agrees to have this dog surgically spayed or neutered no later than 12 months of age. If buyer wishes to get Registration papers, they will be marked “limited Registration”, which notates that no offspring from this dog can be registered. Buyer must provide proof of spay/neuter before registration papers will be granted. If Buyer chooses not to Spay/Neuter the dog within the specified time, this agreement will be Null and Void. Your puppy can be registered with the ASDR or AKC depending on the liFer. We require that when registering your puppy you keep "Blue Buckaroo" as the prefix. (ex. Blue Buckaroo's Rex)
SIZE
Your puppy will be as big as he or she is meant to be. We can give you the sizes of your puppy’s mom and dad, but we do breed a size variety of the Australian Shepherd and genetics can be fickle. There are no guarantees that this puppy will not end up being bigger or smaller than its parents.
**Never give this puppy Ivermectin products. Some Aussies have sensitivities to this deworming drug.
If you ever feel it necessary to give up your puppy or dog and need help finding a home for it, please contact us. If at any time in the life of the dog you are unable to keep this dog, we, the breeder, will try to assist you in finding a new home for the dog. No monies shall be refunded under any circumstances. There is no reason that any Blue Buckaroo puppy should ever end up in a pound or rescue situation!
We have cared for your puppy and given him love, attention, and vet care in order to get him ready for your home. Once this puppy leaves our home, we can no longer assume any responsibility. This contract is non-transferable. Should you relinquish ownership of your puppy, for any reason, this contract shall be null and void.
*Before any guarantees will be honored, we must be provided with a veterinarian’s statement, on veterinarian’s letterhead, stating the genetic origin or health condition as well as prescribed treatment routine. We reserve the right to have a second veterinarian of choice evaluate the dog’s condition before the guarantee will be honored, except in the case of OFA evaluated hip x-rays or CERF eye results.
